Shannon is a Senior at Green High School.&nbsp; She is the daughter of Robert and Mischelle Bales.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Shannon Bales is an exemplary student at Green High School.&nbsp; She is very active in the Marching Band and is a member of the Jazz Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble.&nbsp; She has been a Squad Leader, Section  Leader, the Junior Clas [...] ]]></description><content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="paragraph">Our Inaugural scholarship recipient is Shannon Bales.&nbsp; Shannon is a Senior at Green High School.&nbsp; She is the daughter of Robert and Mischelle Bales.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> Shannon Bales is an exemplary student at Green High School.&nbsp; She is very active in the Marching Band and is a member of the Jazz Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble.&nbsp; She has been a Squad Leader, Section <br /> Leader, the Junior Class Representative, and President of the Marching Band.&nbsp; She is also a member of the <br /> Spanish Club, the Girls of Green, Pep Band, Varsity Softball, Student Action Committee, and National Honor Society.&nbsp; She has been a tutor for Spanish, Chemistry, and Pre-Calculus.&nbsp; She has been a volunteer for Safety <br /> City and Green Good Neighbors, and has served the community and her church in various volunteer capacities.&nbsp; She is also a member of the SEGA Summit County All Star Softball Team.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp; <br /><span></span>In addition to her numerous activities and athletic pursuits, she has outstanding academic credentials.&nbsp; She was inducted into the GHS Wall of Fame in recognition for having at least a 3.8 GPA and scoring at least a 30 on <br /> the ACT.&nbsp; She has also been named a distinguished scholar and is in the top 25 in her class.<br />&nbsp; <br />Shannon plans to attend Walsh University to study Physical Therapy.&nbsp; She will be participating in their inaugural marching band and plans to pursue her doctorate degree.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br /><span></span>Shannon&rsquo;s interests in history include feminism, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, the colonial period, and the <br /> history of government.&nbsp; Her interests in history are primarily due to her experiences in Mr. Tomecko&rsquo;s AP <br /> U.S. History Class and American Government at Walsh University.<br /><br />Shannon&rsquo;s winning local&nbsp; Members and students will meet to caravan to downtown at Boettler Park near the tennis courts.&nbsp; The Kepler-Coss Collection contains&nbsp;the life's research&nbsp;of the late Bev Kepler-Cosson the history of Green Township&nbsp;.&nbsp;
